How We Work
The engineers you meet are the engineers you get.
01Mechanisms
The five mechanisms
- 01
You interview everyone.
Every engineer is interviewed by your team, on your terms, and you can reject anyone at any point. We don't send a senior engineer to the introduction and a different one to the work: the person you meet is the person who joins your standup. If someone isn't right, tell us and we put forward someone else. Nobody starts on your team without your approval.
- 02
You see the whole team.
You see composition and seniority level, per person, before anyone starts and for as long as the engagement runs. There is no blended rate covering a mix you can't see, and no single figure standing in for a team whose shape you were never shown. You know who is on your team, what each of them does and how senior they are — the same things you would know about people you hired yourself.
- 03
We work inside your system.
Your repository, your ticketing, your review process, your definition of done. Your engineer is in your standup and your review queue from day one, not after an onboarding period run on our side. There is no parallel process: no separate board we report against, no status layer sitting between your team and the work. What your engineering manager sees for your own engineers is what they see for ours.
- 04
No silent substitutions.
Nobody moves off your team without your approval. Continuity is the point of the arrangement: the engineer who learned your codebase stays on it, and any change to who is on your team is a conversation with you before it is a fact. You will not discover a substitution by reading a pull request.
- 05
One named person is accountable.
Engineers communicate directly with your team, in your channels, at your cadence. There is no account manager relaying messages, so questions reach the person who can actually answer them. But there is a named person responsible for the engagement, which means that when something needs raising rather than answering, you know exactly who to raise it with.
02Sequence
How an engagement starts.
- 01You tell us the roles or the problem.
- 02We put forward engineers with relevant experience.
- 03You interview them the way you'd interview any candidate.
- 04You approve or decline.
- 05Your engineer starts within a week of your decision, in your repository and your standup.
03Comms
How we communicate.
- Direct
- Engineers speak directly with your team, in your channels.
- Accountable
- One named person is accountable for the engagement.
- Hours
- Overlap hours are agreed at the start rather than assumed.
